Sometimes unusual errors and instability can be fixed by getting Windows to scan and repair itself.

1. Restart your PC.
2. Press the windows key or click the start button and type Command Prompt
3. Right click the Command Prompt icon and choose "Run as Administrator"
4. Answer "Yes" to the question about whether you want to allow this. If you are not running as an administrator user you may need to enter a username and password. In a company or a school you may need to speak to IT admin about this.
5. Enter sfc /scannow

This may now take some time. When it is complete restart the computer and try again.
